Project Based Learning is central to Mr. Gabe's Garage. We start with a goal and then learn how to use the tools to achieve that goal. It is a fun and rewarding way to learn. Failure is encouraged. Break the drill bit, snap the board, bend the axle, wear the safety glasses. Charge ahead, it's exciting. Sessions will follow a Gradual Release of Responsibility methodology where tools and techniques are demonstrated. Then, as skills are developed students independently apply their skills to complete a project.
Mr. Gabe's Garage is less than a mile from the Maynard Public Schools. We are in the neighborhood next to Green Meadow Elementary, so crossing 117 nor 27 is required. It's a quick and safe commute for students.
